The International Finals of The 2025 Digital Innovation Skills Challenge Competition of North – Africa (The 2nd Sino-North Africa International Vocational Education Digital Innovation Skills Competition) Successfully Closed on April 23, 2025 in Casablanca, Morocco.
Supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Morocco, the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment, Tunisia and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Egypt, etc.. The competition host by both SNAEIA and the Sino-North Africa International Vocational Education Digital Innovation Skills Competition Committee, while Hassan I University in Morocco as the organizer.
There are a total of 86 teams from China, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries and more than 300 players have registered for this competition. After multiple rounds of selection, a total of 39 teams finally participated in the finals. The last competition on “Additive Manufacturing, Cross-border E-commerce” and other traditional events are still attractive. In order to deeply meet the innovation needs of the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, this years’ competition introduced the joint proposition mechanism of enterprise experts for the first time, and added the “AI Casting Recognition” enterprise characteristic track of CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd., and the “AI Casting Recognition” enterprise track is based on the real scene design of industrial quality inspection, directly hitting the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. The key technical pain points have become a highlight of this competition, and the participating teams have signed up enthusiastically.
During the competition, every participating team competed fiercely around technical scheme design, practical skills display, cross-cultural collaboration and other competition links. In the end, the Chinese team won one gold medal and three silver medals, and the Moroccan team won two gold medals, three silver medals and six bronze medals. The innovative thinking, teamwork, cultural exchange, team spirit and other characteristics of both Chinese and foreign competitors have won high praise from the expert judges during the competition.
This year’s competition aims to promote education through competition, promote the integration and innovation of School-Enterprise Cooperation and Industry-Education, which do bring the cross-border exchange of Chinese and foreign vocational education digital technology skills closer, guide Chinese and foreign young people to develop their skills and become high-quality technical skills in the future to adapt to the changes of the global digital transformation industry.
