The 2026 Belt & Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (North Africa) International Final Grandly Opens in Casablanca, Morocco

On April 20, the 2026 Belt & Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development & Technology Innovation (North Africa) International Final grandly opened in Casablanca, Morocco. Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The competition has attracted contestants from China, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and other countries. Let's look forward to the participants working together to write a wonderful chapter of China-Africa education cooperation!

In her speech, Chen Lu said that SNAEIA has successfully held two editions of the Sino-North Africa International Vocational Education Digital Innovation Skills Competition, accumulating the rich experience in event organization and continuously strengthening the platform for international exchanges. It is first time for the event of 2025 to enter the BRICS Competition framework. This significant breakthrough in competition level fully demonstrates the growing international influence of the event and reflects SNAEIA’s concrete efforts to contribute to the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, support the implementation of the “Future Africa Plan” , and promote practical cooperation between China and North African countries in areas such as the integration of vocational education standards, international talent cultivation, and the improvement of skills competitions in both quality and efficiency. Chen Lu said, as the Chinese organizer of the competition, SNAEIA has always attached great importance to the entire process of the competition, encompassing comprehensive coordination, overall resource integration, event preparation, organization, and implementation. It ensures rigorous procedures at every stage to guarantee that the competition is professional, standardized, fair and and comply with  the international standards.

This year’s finals feature two major competitions: the Innovation Technology Competition and the Future Skills Challenge Competition, with a total of 31 tracks. The competitions will be conducted in an orderly manner, and participants will compete on the same stage, showcasing their skills, demonstrating solid professional theoretical foundations, technical proficiency, and innovative spirit.

The competition is not only a showcase of the skills of students from China and Africa, but also an important platform for young people from China and Africa to enhance mutual understanding, build friendships, foster cultural appreciation, and engage in academic exchanges. We do believe that the Belt&Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (North Africa) International Competition will further deepen the educational cooperation between China and Africa and promote people to people exchanges between the two sides.
