Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North African Education Innovation Association, was invited to attend the closing ceremony of “2025 Yiwu Silk Road Institute (Morocco) Teachers and Students Study Tour Camp”


Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North African Education Innovation Association (SNAEIA), was invited and delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Yiwu Silk Road Institute (Morocco) Teachers and Students Study Tour Camp held in Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College ,YWICC on September 1, 2025.

Chen Lu first congratulated the Moroccan teachers and students on the successful completion of the camp. She commended the leadership, faculty, and students of Yiwu Industrial & Commercial College for their hard-working and dedication in ensuring the project's smooth implementation in her remarks. Chen Lu said that SNAEIA would like to continue to develop the platforms and promote the cooperation between YWICC and the Moroccan universities. She also emphasized the importance of connecting with more universities in China and North African countries to create a “China-Morocco+” educational communication network and make contribution to the educational goals of the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

Prof. Samar Mouchawrab, Vice-President of the Mundiapolis University, addressed that the philosophy of “pragmatic and efficient” cooperation between the two sides. She hopes that the students would serve as a bridge for China-Morocco collaboration, fostering win-win outcomes for both countries in international trade and big data technology. Prof. Mohamed Harik, President of Omnia from School of Business and Technology, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese faculty members for their dedication during the study tour, and he also shared his hope that future collaboration in curriculum co-construction and the development of professional standards would benefit a greater number of Moroccan students.

On August 25th., 2025, the study tour officially began with the opening ceremony attended by Mr. Fan Yao, Party Committee Member and Vice-President of YWICC; Prof. Samar Mouchawrab, Vice-President of the Mundiapolis University; and Prof. Mohamed Harik, President of Omnia School of Business and Technology. This event marked a significant phase in the launch of the “2+1” joint training program between YWICC and Moroccan universities.

During the study tour, Moroccan teachers and students engaged in comprehensive visits and practical exchanges in Yiwu, Hangzhou, Jinhua, and other cities. They visited the enterprises under the city’s integrated industry and education consortium, understood the talent needs of Chinese-funded enterprises in Morocco and aimed to implement the goal of “cultivating localized technical and skilled personnel”. A visit to Yiwu's railway port, the starting point for the Yi-Xin-Europe train, allowed them to witness firsthand the efficient connectivity fostered by China’s Belt and Road Initiative. They also toured Yiwu International Trade Market to experience the “buy globally, sell globally” business ecosystem. In Hangzhou, they visited Zhejiang Qiangnao Technology Co., Ltd 's on-campus training base and Geely Auto's off-campus training facility to learn about advanced industrial processes, from intelligent manufacturing to digital technology. Furthermore, they experienced the rich heritage of traditional Chinese culture through various immersive cultural activities.

At the closing ceremony, several Moroccan student representatives eagerly shared their insights from the study tour. RABAB BENZYAT expressed his intention to apply the knowledge he gained in China to Morocco’s economic development upon returning home. MOHAMED BOUHASSOUNE remarked that this study tour impressed him to witness a real, multifaceted, diverse, and vibrant China”.


With the study tour, SNAEIA provided extensive support, coordination, and services, effectively served as a bridge, backbone, foundational support, and friendly ambassador for the initiative.
