SNAEIA Secretary-General Chen Lu Visits Algeria and Meets with the Minister of the National Institute of Vocational Training and Education

On December 22 local time, Chen Lu, Secretary-General of the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association, was invited to visit Algeria and met with Nassima Arhab, Minister of the National Institute of Vocational Training and Education of Algeria. Arhab warmly welcomed Chen Lu’s visit, and the visit was a complete success.

During the visit, Chen Lu and Arhab engaged in in-depth discussions and communication on the contents of the memorandum of cooperation signed by both parties. Both sides held a thorough discussion on consolidating the provisions of the previous memorandum of understanding on cooperation, initiating collaborative efforts by the Joint Technical Committee, further implementing practical cooperation in the field of vocational education between China and Algeria, and continuously promoting the implementation of vocational education cooperation projects between the two countries.

After hearing about the plans and progress made in implementing cooperation projects between the two sides for 2025, as well as the outcomes achieved, Arhab stated that the Ministry will continue to deepen practical cooperation with SNAEIA, drawing up on the country’s high-quality vocational education resources to jointly promote high standards and high-quality development in the field of vocational education.

Chen Lu stated that SNAEIA will adhere to the principles outlined in the memorandum of understanding, leverage the reliable resources of domestic partner institutions, and strive to promote, efficiently adapt to, and provide high-quality services in practical cooperation between the two countries in areas such as talent cultivation, students-teachers’ exchanges, corporate-academic collaborations, vocational education export, and the dissemination of educational standards.

This time visit further enhanced mutual understanding and communication between SNAEIA and the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education of Algeria, while relevant functional departments under its Ministry. This has effectively facilitated the implementation of multi-modal cooperation between the two parties in the field of vocational education by 2026, thereby laying a more solid foundation for cooperation to serve domestic vocational college, vocational education going abroad, support the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, and facilitate cultural exchanges between China and Algeria.
