UNESCO Dialogue on “Power of Her and Future of Her” Program


Series of Events on Power of Her and Future of Her:  A High-level Dialogue on Educational Equality and Global Leadership


The UNESCO Liaison Office to the African Union in partnership with the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association (SNAEIA) cordially invite you to join a high-level dialogue on the future of gender equality and women’s leadership.

A High-level Dialogue on Educational Equality and Global Leadership

In order to establish a high-level international dialogue platform for women in education, support their professional and leadership development, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and promote cross-sector collaboration in education and public welfare, the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association,  together with the UNESCO Liaison Office to the African Union will organize a series of events on “Power of Her and Future of Her” as part of the Global Women’s Empowerment initiative. 


As the inaugural session of above series, “Dialogue on Educational Equality and Global Leadership” will be held in Beijing, China. We warmly invite and welcome you join us and participate the dialogue to share your great ideas and insights on “Power of Her and Future of Her” together.


Event Highlights

1. High-Level Dialogue

Co-host by UNESCO and SNAEIA, the dialogue will create an open and inclusive platform of international communication, connect the wisdom and experience of women education leaders from China, Africa, and around the world.

2. Substantive Empowerment

Aligned with the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan, the dialogue aims to focus on the advancing gender equality and strengthening women’s leadership, empowering women professionals in the education sector.

3. Cross-Sector Collaboration

Bringing together public welfare organizations, educational institutions, and international organizations to explore the innovative models of cooperation and promote shared development and progress.

4. Authoritative Certification

Participants who successfully complete the entire program will be awarded a Certificate of Honor jointly issued by the UNESCO Liaison Office to the African Union and the Sino-North Africa Education Innovation Association.


Event Overview

1. Event Date: June 10, 2026

2. Venue: Beijing, China

3. Number of Participants: Limited to 60 persons (30 from both domestic and international sources)

4. Registration Fee: Free registration fee. (Participants are responsible for covering their own transportation, accommodation, and other related expenses)


Participants

The event will convene outstanding female representatives from the following organizations or institutions:

1. Female education professionals from China and Africa who have demonstrated strong social impact or made outstanding contributions to the field of education, and female scholars and experts in education management and policy studies.

2. Female diplomats accredited to China, spouses of ambassadors, and female officials responsible for education and training in diplomatic missions.

3. Representatives from UNESCO.

4. Female representatives from  international organizations, philanthropic foundations, and enterprises supporting educational equity and gender equality.

Note: The final selection of participants will be confirmed by the UNESCO Liaison Office to the African Union.


Program Highlights

1. Policy Interpretation

UNESCO representatives will present an in-depth analysis of the global framework of UNESCO's Gender Equality Acceleration Plan and outline key areas of cooperation and opportunities in China.

2. Keynote Speeches

(1) Chinese speakers will share the development pathways and practical experiences of women’s educational leadership in China.

(2) Diplomats accredited to China and spouses of ambassadors will share global case studies on how diplomatic resources and philanthropic efforts would jointly empower women’s education and leadership.

3. Roundtable Dialogue

The roundtable dialogue will focus on “Innovative Educational Practices and Women’s Empowerment”, exploring the digital education and cross-cultural communication, sharing cases studies, and identifying collaborative solutions.


Action Plan and Next Steps

1. Establish the “Global Women Education Leaders Network”

A dedicated community will be established to facilitate the resource sharing and ongoing collaboration among the members.

2. Launch a Series of Women’s Empowerment Initiatives

The first initiative will focus on:

“Digital Future, Driven by Women — China-Africa Youth Digital Skills and Leadership Empowerment Program for Women.”

This initiative aims to deepen international cooperation in education and public welfare, turning dialogue into concrete actions and measurable impact.
